Started at 9.15m, taking a track by Balloch Castle where we stopped to admire the view of Loch Lomond. On by a very quite country road and railway track to Drymen where we had a snack on the green. We left Drymen up a very long steep hill, were greeted by very hard rain at the to and then dropped down into Aberfoyle where we had lunch in a tea room. We tried to take the track through Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, but the foresters had boarded the way onto a bridge across a stream, so we retreated and went by road. But we managed to get back on the very attractive track by Loch Venacher. We had tea in Callendar and the went up the track by Loch Lubaig as far as Strathyre for the night, We had a drink in a bar.
