go back to the diary    go back to the map

The Abbaye of Noirlac was built in the 12th century and later. It is constructed from white stone and has red tile roofs. It has a very simple, clean design. There are cloisters with gothic arcades connecting the abbatiale and the dormitories. The abbatiale (church) has just a nave and two aisles. The big dormitory has an impressive timber barrel vault roof.
