Monday 4 June

Today we rode over the Drumochter Pass. It's 462 metres high and a long way up. The new cycle track follows the A9 and is well graded. It has a few strange bends and many bridges with little white boulders at each end - what for? It was cold at the top of the pass, but there was no rain. We had hot chocolate at the shop in Calvine to give us energy for the climb and lunch in a caf at Dalwhinney. We arrived at our friends Jeff and Jane's at about 3.30, Their house has the same marvellous views that we remembered. We enjoyed lots of talk and a good meal.
