I Attended the ACM Multimedia Conference in Ottawa 7-9 October.

The Chateau Laurier: I stayed in this palatial hotel, right in the centre on the government hill, for £85/per night. It's one of the best-run hotels I've seen.	This canal, built by the British military, runs right through the centre and past the Chateau Laurier hotel.	Night view of Pariament buildings - the clock chimes just like Big Ben!
The new National Gallery - an excellent building with lots of light, very good internal circulation spaces and galleries.	This cat sanctuary is right next to the Parliament building in Ottawa
